A highlight video on Barry Sanders' Heisman season at Oklahoma State, the greatest individual collegiate season ever assembled. Sanders' season was the only college football player's campaign to rank in ESPN.com's "End of the Century" list covering all sports. http://espn.go.com/endofcentury/s/statsclass.html His records still stand quite easily: -Sanders rushed for 2,628 yards, an NCAA record. -He had 3,249 total yards, an NCAA record. -Sanders scored 39 TDs (37 rushing, 1 kick return, 1 punt return), an NCAA record. -He averaged 7.6 yards per carry. -He averaged 238.9 rushing yards per game. -He averaged 295.4 all-purpose yards per game. -He rushed for 300+ yards in four games. Barry Sanders is the greatest back ever, college or pro. [Mas+detalle]

Sally Kern, an Oklahoma state legislator, made some extreme anti-gay remarks, including: Gay people are a bigger threat to America than terrorism (or Islam!), no nation that has embraced homosexuality has lasted more than a few decades, and gay people are going after 2 years olds! Wow! How do I get the spare time to make a YouTube video!? Also a quick mention of Einstein not being a theist, as someone recently said on one of my videos. If you're American, please visit http://www.victoryfund.org and send a letter :-) P.S. I managed to not start the video with "Helloooo!" yay! P.P.S. Thank goodness I'm gay, who wants kids - did you hear my nephew?! P.P.P.S. Sorry, I originally called Sally Kern the governor of Oklahoma, which is very wrong, she's lower down the chain. I don't know why I thought I had read that in my HRC email. Complicated American politics! :) Some fantastic video honours: #5 - Most Discussed (This Week) - News & Politics #17 - Most Discussed (This Month) - News & Politics #63 - Most Viewed (This Month) - News & Politics #48 - Top Favourites (This Week) - News & Politics #19 - Top Rated (This Week) - News & Politics #52 - Top Rated (This Month) - News & Politics http://www.youtube.com/MentalityUK [Mas+detalle]

Columbus, September 24,1977 - 2nd ranked Oklahoma took a 17-0 lead at halftime that grew to 20-0 early in the 3rd qtr. over Woody Hayes' 3rd ranked Buckeyes. Then, Ohio State reeled off 28 unanswered points after Thomas Lott and Billy Simms left the game with injuries. When OSU stopped OU's 2-point conversion with 1:29 left in the game, the Sooners appeared defeated. But, Sooner Magic came to life as OU recovered Uwe von Schamann's onside kick. QB Dean Blevins then hit Steve Rhodes at the OSU 24-yard line with 3 seconds left. von Schamann took the field. OSU then took a timeout in an attempt to freeze him. As the crowd of 90,00 began to chant "Block that kick!", von Schamann began to lead them in the cheer much like an orchestra conductor. Then he calmly lined up and booted the 41-yard game-winner right down the middle. [Mas+detalle]

The only amateur recording of Sum 41 on youtube. Live in Oklahoma City in April 2005. Turn it up to full volume to pull out all the energy of the show. Plenty of ear-piercing mind-blowing feedback. This is what they sound like in a club when you're standing directly in front of them in the mosh pit. Raw, uncut, but clean. To all those immature wannabes, you're growing up in a different age from when bootlegging used to be totally illegal, not tolerated, and brutal if you got caught. Just to get a high quality audio track off a show was a feat. Take your iPods and stick it. Sony created the Walkman, to which there has been no other, a generation of cool, lost and taken for granted. Please appreciate the sound despite the limited slide show and all. Whatever happened to creativity and depth in humans these days? Eat your cake and shove it up yours too, you immature impulsive pee ants. [Mas+detalle]

Reporter Tim Estiloz details the story of the 1921 Tulsa, Oklahoma Race Riots in this PART TWO portion. This infamous and deadly tragedy is one of the nation's little known sad chapters in our troubled history of race relations. The riot began with a false accusation of rape... and led many white residents of 1921 Tulsa to descend upon and literally burn, kill and destroy... a once-thriving black populated section of Tulsa called Greenwood. This area was so prosperous - before the riot - that it was referred to as the "Black Wall Street". The carnage was unbelievable and the effects still resonate today. This video - first broadcast on TV in 1997 - includes recollections of eyewitnesses to the tragedy, historians and incredible film footage and photos shot of the burning buildings and carnage - as it was happening. This story BEGINS on "You Tube" with the title "1921 Tulsa Race Riot: Survivors & Descendants Recall - PART ONE". Look that up to get both chapters of this story. This story was co-produced by Tim Estiloz. Estiloz is now an entertainment reporter for CN8 - The Comcast Network. See more of Tim Estiloz' videos on "You Tube" under the title "FilmFanTV". ~ ~ Please read after you watch Kelsey's video ~ ~ Kelsey Briggs lost her life before the age of three due to Child Abuse. It is a Tragic story but one that must be shared.Hopefully Kelsey's story will touch your heart and you will be willing to step up to the plate and help children who can't help themselves. Please read her story below... Kelsey Briggs was born in Oklahoma on December 28,2002 after her parents Lance Briggs and Raye Dawn Smith were divorced. At the end of 2004 Raye Dawn Smith started dating a man named Michael Lee Porter. The first reported incident of suspected child abuse regarding Kelsey was made on Jan.17,2005. Kelsey Briggs grandmother Kathie Briggs was granted custody Jan.24,2005. Raye Dawn Smith married Michael Lee Porter on April 18,2005. On May 3,2005 Kelsey was taken out of her grandmothers care by OKDHS. Kelsey was put in protective custody because of leg injuries. At that time Raye Dawn was having unsupervised visitation with Kelsey, sometimes in the presence of Mike Porter which went against a court order. Raye and Mike had Kelsey more hours than did Kathie. May 4,2005 Kelsey was moved to her maternal Grandmother Gayla Smith. Kelsey suffered months of documented abuse, which included FOUR CONFIRMED cases of abuse.Confirmed abuse were the abrasions and bruises on her bottom in January 2005, and the two spiral breaks to her legs in April 2005. June 15,2005 Judge Craig Key sent Kelsey back to her mom and stepfather. The judge stated, "Kelsey's abuser was unknown." Kelsey was visited by a social worker every week. Her biological father Lance Briggs was a soldier in Iraq he was undergoing care at a treatment facility for a back injury and was in the process of checking out from his duty in Fort Benning,Georgia. Lance was schedueled to be home within a week or so. On October 11,2005 Kelsey was murdered. Raye Dawn and Michael Porter were the only ones around Kelsey in the hour leading up to her death. Raye went to pick Whitney up from school.Whitney is Mike Porter's Bio daughter from a previous relationship. The cause of death was blunt force trauma to the abdomen,it was ruled a Homicide. Kelsey Briggs died just days before her father was to return. Two weeks later Porter was arrested on first degee murder. Her mother was later charged with two felonies of Child Neglect and Enabling Child Abuse. In April of 2006 Kelsey's body was exhumed for a second autopsy where sexual abuse was documented. The Stepfather's charges were amended to add the sexual abuse. Porter and Smith divorced after Kelsey's death. On February 2,2007 a plea negotiation was entered and approved by the paternal family. The stepfather plead guilty to a reduced charge of Enabling Child Abuse and received 30 years in prison. He has no possibility of parole for 25.5years. Kelsey's mother Raye Dawn Smith went on trial July 9,2007. She was found guilty of enabling child abuse, she will serve 27 years in prison, without the possibility of parole for 23 years. Alot of people failed Kelsey. Remember her story the next time you think a child is being abused. Please report it,if you don't, that child may suffer the same fate as Kelsey. Please don't let that happen. A new law has been named for Kelsey in Oklahoma to prevent this type of failure in the Oklahoma State System. Song:"Somewhere over the Rainbow" - Eva Cassidy [Mas+detalle]
