On 21 June, the new BMW museum re-opened its doors for the public. 125 original exhibits in 25 exhibition areas, spreading over 5000 sq m, display more than 90 years of BMW history. A completely new concept and a unique architecture offer an outstanding journey through space and time. Around 400 000 visitors are expected each year.

After 4 years of reconstruction, many things have changed at the BMW Museum. The architectural idea of streets and squares inside dominates old and new parts of the building. It is an architecture shaped by urban elements: roads, squares, bridges, houses…and cars.

Karl Baumer explains how the BMW 328 is a representative of intelligent leightweight eingineering since BMW´s early days, and draws parallels to BMW EfficientDynamics.
