So, I was making a stupid video the other day with Muse as the music when I fast-forwarded...and was shocked to hear, I swear, a girl singing a fast version of Muse's Muscle Museum.
Here it is -- Muse's Muscle Museum a tad faster and a lot of testosterone shorter.
Maybe it doesn't sound *exactly* like Avril, but I think the chorus especially totally sounds like a pretty good female rocker. The verse sounds like a pretty bad one hahaha.
If you're missing the effect, look away and imagine a girl singing it. Seeing Bellamy sing like that is pretty disturbing :D
Please don't judge me too harshly if you disagree with the premise -- it's just my opinion! Decide for yourself.

EDIT: WOAH!! I just saw a very good video that someone had made of Muse's "Invincible" where they did the exact same thing and he sounds like Gwen Stefani! WOW! Crazy!
