NBA on NBC 2002 Allstar Game at First Union Center in Philadelphia. February 10th, 2002.
Interesting Story: Jayson Williams would accidentally murder his limo driver 4 days later on February 14th, 2002. He was fired by NBC almost immediately and never mentioned in their broadcasts again, making this moment his last NBC appearance. Pat Croce and Mike Fratello were dropped from the halftime show and Tom Tolbert was brought in to do the halftime show solo with Ahmad Rashad. Two months later Marv Albert and Mike Fratello would be involved in a limo crash after a TNT game and were badly injured. Mike Fratello pulled Marv Albert out of the car. Both would miss the starting rounds of the playoffs but Marv would return in a wheelchair to announce the Game 1 of the Semi-Finals between the Kings and Mavericks.
