taken sometime in '03/early '04. when i was living in japan i began to tape some of their random tv shows. a lot of their TV is bad but one show i liked was called 'no plan'. it was a half-hour comedy skit type show and once in a while they'd do a 'do not laugh' type of skit. they'd get these three guys and one by one they'd hold a mouthful of water and the show's members would do random shiz to get them to laugh with 10pts per person. i added some translations where i could and i hope they are accurate enough :P contestants in order: - Golgo Matsumoto - Mimura Masakazu - Red Yoshida - Fukawa Ryo - Otake Kazuki - the host: Uchimura Teruyoshi this was the first one i saw and i died watching it. i tried to tape more but had trouble for various reasons. if anyone has any more vids from this show, i'd love to know. i don't know much about it (the cast's full names, etc) other than it was aired tuesday nights and in '04 sometime they had an official store along Takeshita dori in Harajuku. enjoy! During the dictatorship (1967-1974) Theodorakis' political music was banned in Greece. This is a part of the comedy "O Thanasis sti hora tis sfaliaras" (1976) where the protagonist (the popular Greek comedian Thanasis Veggos) is listening full of enthusiasm to some of revolutionary Theodorakis' songs, not being aware of the fact that the car's loudspeaker is turned on. I think subtitles are not necessary for this one. Update: Some people have asked me for this scene or the entire movie. If anyone else is interested, please let me know via PM (private message). A big thank you to all the wonderful people who have been saying such kind words in comments and emails. This is a video about what to do in the event of my death or catastrophic injury. My views on my life and death. People have been asking me to do a blog so I thought I would do something useful. The ending is me waaaaay out on a limb. This is NOT the usual ScaryDAve stuff so be prepared and forewarned. The subject of this video can get quite touchie. Some people may not agree with it or find it too difficult to watch or discuss and that's fine. I still felt it was time to get it done. At 30 minutes, it's a bit of a stretch to think anyone will watch the entire thing but here it is. Take it for what it's worth. I assure you that this is not a scheme to get subs of views or featured or anything like that. My motivations are quite simple. I would like to start a new online video ritual/tradition for those of us who produce videos. The ritual is quite simple. I think it's very important for all of us to use this medium to say our last words and post our last will and testament in a way that no one can twist around or argue with. There is no way to forge one of these is there? I think it would be a good idea for us to state in a video format how we want to be treated if we die or are involved in a catastrophic accident. Do you want to be kept alive on a machine? Do you want to be an organ donor? What do you want to happen with your stuff? What about your intellectual properties such as your videos? Do you want then to become public domain or turned over to a loved one? I want to make sure I am never hooked to a machine an kept alive. I want to make sure my son owns all my materials and keeps this account going. I think these sorts of things are important to put out there while we are still breathing. Also, what would you like to say to people once you are gone. What are your thoughts on life. Would you have changed anything? What were you hoping to leave behind? I think it is important for all of us to make these videos so that our loved ones have something to help them make the transition from our life to our death more easily. A way to keep any misunderstandings between the people we leave behind to a minimum. In the event that we don't die and things change then we update our death video. If we live to be quite old then we have reference to see how our attitudes towards death evolve and change as we grow older. I hope you find this idea to be a worthy one and join me in showing others that this is a good idea by adding your own video. If you want to respond to mine, that's fine. If you want to just do it independently, that's fine as well. This isn't a marketing ploy. It's a way to make this world a little more aware of how short our lives really are. In starting this, I just want to leave something behind that helps the loved ones of people who have died make an easier transition as well as making the rest of us think about what life means to us while we still have it. I encourage you to pass this idea on to those you feel would make good use of it. In making my death video, I put myself waaaaaaaaaay out on a limb. I stepped waaay waay outside my usual box and have opened myself ridicule in a huge way. If you ever see it through to the end you will understand what I mean. I hope by doing so to inspire others to do the same thing. This life is too short and mine has already ended a couple times. While I was gone, I didn't see a thing. So I find my time here to be that much more important. I am told that my growing to a very old age is highly unlikely. Doctors have been wrong before but I am faced with my own mortality every day. The limitations of my heart are presented to me every day. Still, I have outlived so many of my friends who have died younger than I am now that it's obvious to me that there is just no way to know when the last sunrise will be. Something everyone should be reminded of on a regular basis. If tomorrow is no guarantee then why risk wasting today? I hope you can handle this topic in a way which would set a good example to others. I think that the first round of these videos should be inspirational so that the tradition takes hold and spreads. In doing so I think some of the pain and surviving of our loved ones can be slightly diminished and their/ our lives can have just that much more meaning associated with them when they are over. Thank you for your time. Sincerely DAve ScaryDAve thechurchofdave 9-11-08 [Mas+detalle]

I putted that video up, cz Chris Rock rocks forever!! He's one of the best comedians ever. His show isn't bad either. He makes some of THE BEST skeches ever made. If u had to shrink those sentences u get: CHRIS ROCK IS THE KING OF COMEDY. Rock began doing stand-up comedy in 1985 in New York City's Catch a Rising Star.[5] Rock slowly rose up the ranks of the comedy circuit in addition to earning bit roles in the film I'm Gonna Git You Sucka and the TV series Miami Vice. Upon seeing his act at a nightclub, Eddie Murphy befriended and mentored the aspiring comic. Murphy gave Rock his first film role in Beverly Hills Cop II. Rock became a cast member of the popular sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live in 1990. He and other new cast members Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider, and David Spade became known as the Bad Boys of SNL. In 1991, he released his first comedy album Born Suspect and won acclaim for his dramatic role as a crack addict in the film New Jack City. His tenure on SNL gave Rock national exposure, but he was rarely used on the show, save for his recurring Nat X character. I'm so sry 4 the quallity [Mas+detalle]

-- Bernie Mac blended style, authority and a touch of self-aware bluster to make audiences laugh as well as connect with him. For Mac, who died Saturday at age 50, it was a winning mix, delivering him from a poor childhood to stardom as a standup comedian, in films including the casino heist caper "Ocean's Eleven" and his acclaimed sitcom "The Bernie Mac Show." Though his comedy drew on tough experiences as a black man, he had mainstream appeal — befitting inspiration he found in a wide range of humorists: Harpo Marx as well as Moms Mabley; squeaky-clean Red Skelton, but also the raw Redd Foxx. Mac died Saturday morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital, his publicist, Danica Smith, said in a statement from Los Angeles. She said no other details were available. "The world just got a little less funny," said "Oceans" co-star George Clooney. Don Cheadle, another member of the "Oceans" gang, concurred: "This is a very sad day for many of us who knew and loved Bernie. He brought so much joy to so many. He will be missed, but heaven just got funnier." "This is a very sad day for many of us who knew and loved Bernie," said Don Cheadle, a member of the "Oceans" gang. "He brought so much joy to so many. He will be missed but heaven just got funnier." Mac suffered from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease that produces tiny lumps of cells in the body's organs, but had said the condition went into remission in 2005. He recently was hospitalized and treated for pneumonia, which his publicist said was not related to the disease. Recently, Mac's brand of comedy caught him flack when he was heckled during a surprise appearance at a July fundraiser for Democratic presidential candidate and fellow Chicagoan Barack Obama. Toward the end of a 10-minute standup routine, Mac joked about menopause, sexual infidelity and promiscuity, and used occasional crude language. Obama took the stage about 15 minutes later, implored Mac to "clean up your act next time," then let him off the hook, adding: "By the way, I'm just messing with you, man." Even so, Obama's campaign later issued a rebuke, saying the senator "doesn't condone these statements and believes what was said was inappropriate." But despite controversy or difficulties, in his words, Mac was always a performer. "Wherever I am, I have to play," he said in 2002. "I have to put on a good show." In 2007, Mac told David Letterman on CBS' "Late Show" that he planned to retire soon. "I'm going to still do my producing, my films, but I want to enjoy my life a little bit," Mac told Letterman. "I missed a lot of things, you know. I was a street performer for two years. I went into clubs in 1977." Mac was born Bernard Jeffrey McCullough on Oct. 5, 1957, in Chicago. He grew up on the city's South Side, living with his mother and grandparents. His grandfather was the deacon of a Baptist church. In his 2004 memoir, "Maybe You Never Cry Again," Mac wrote about having a poor childhood — eating bologna for dinner — and a strict, no-nonsense upbringing. "I came from a place where there wasn't a lot of joy," Mac told the AP in 2001. "I decided to try to make other people laugh when there wasn't a lot of things to laugh about." Mac's mother died of cancer when he was 16. In his book, Mac said she was a support for him and told him he would surprise everyone when he grew up. "Woman believed in me," he wrote. "She believed in me long before I believed." Mac's death Saturday coincided with the annual Bud Billiken Parade in Chicago, a major event in the predominantly black South Side that the comedian had previously attended. "It's truly the passing of one of our favorite sons," said Paula Robinson, president of the Black Metropolis National Heritage Area. "He was extremely innovative in putting his life experiences in comedic form and doing it without vulgarity. "He was an ambassador of Chicago's black community, and the national black community at large." [Mas+detalle]

My apologies, I did not mean to make you waste your time watching the "whole" thing while you sat there with the mouse in your hand thinking "this is stupid". that was not my intention in posting this video, but rather to share a clip of an comedian/actor i favor. if there is another you enjoy more go ahead and to watch him/her. there is no need to blast random hate around. Thank you for understanding. Performs his stand up comedy act using physical comedy and impression of the Candy Man. I love Jim Carrey, he's always been one of my favorite comedians.
