Female group from Cuenca that belongs to D'FABIS PRODUCCIONES enterprise. In February 2001, this group is built of 5 young women, all of them with experience in singing and dancing and with an artistic career of big renown in and outside their province. The group interprets an exclusive type of music, similar to the danceable "tecnocumbia" and "nacional". The members are: Engyee Alban Varela, Marlen Jaramillo Montoya, Verónica Vera Riera, Jhomar Martínez Chacón, Erika Mejía Garzón, Fabián Vallejo Mora (Businessman and manager).
During their career as a group who promotes the Ecuadorian culture, Caramelo Caliente has been traveling with its artistic presentations to many places at the coast, the highland, the Oriente and the Galapagos Islands. They release their first CD called "Siempre en tu mente", that has been sold for approximately 4 years now. In 2003, they present the 2nd volume, called "Las número uno del Ecuador Vol. 2" with hits like: "Donde Estar Amor", Chofercito Carretero", "Popurrí Chichero", "Los Compadres", "La cumbia del Indio" amongst others.
In 2005, they release their third volume, "Las número uno del Ecuador Vol. 3" with a repertoire of national music, that they address to the compatriots who live in the foreigner, with songs like: "Déjenme llorar", "Jamás", "Te marchaste", "Cartita", "Desamor" etc..
During May and June 2005, the group travels to the U.S.A for a tour in several states, where they please the crowd of compatriots with their varied repertoire, having an incredible reception from the Ecuadorian public, as well as from the public from other countries.
