Chinese student Wang Qianyuan (Grace Wang) who attends Duke University in the state of North Carolina, in the United States of America, recently expressed support for Tibetans on the Tibet issue As a result the communist Chinese students on campus have intimidated Wang Qianyuan to the point where she now needs police protection. Then back in her homeland, the kind, generous people of Communist China who claim to respect human rights, fired her parents from their jobs because of this. The communist Chinese students on campus at Duke University did what Chinese communist students did in Nagano and Tokyo in Japan. They showed their gross disrespect and arrogance towards their host nations by waiving their blood soaked flag in protest. Remember now, Duke University is the same institution where the faculty and staff admonished the university lacrosse team when they were innocent of rape charges. The American news media has been near silent on the Wang Qianyuan issue as they most likely have been purchased by the communist in China as the American Congress has been purchased. The ASIAN BRIEF news has reported the story. [Mas+detalle]

Oh no, my video is too bright to see each individuals...sorry... Song List(in order): Crazy Dog - Big Bang (Korean) Boomshake - Far East Movement (US) Purple Line - DBSK (Japanese) ******************************************** AsianBeat, a dance group sponsored by the Asian Student Union (ASU) in the University of Richmond, seeks to promote Asian hiphop/pop music to local communities through live dance performances. The group also seeks to promote Asian-American artists and their work produced in the United States. We primarily perform using mixture of hiphop/pop songs originating from Asia/Pacific countries, including Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, Phillipines, Vietnam and many more. As Asian music are now becoming popular in American youth culture, we seek to partake in this global phenomenon and perhaps take the lead in introducing this new taste of music to local residents via live performances and to other individuals through means of world wide web (e.g. youtube). Directed and edited by Calvin Sun. Produced by Aretha Choi, Marilla Li, and Calvin Sun. Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8XWQ62HdCs ***WINNER of the audience favorite "One to Watch Award" in the longest running Asian American film festival in the world; the 30th Annual Asian American International Film Festival!!!*** This is part 1 of 2 in a film discussing the Asian American opinion on female body image, beauty standards, eating disorders, and unspoken pressures to be thin in both American and Asian cultures. An otherwise taboo subject to talk about among specifically Asian Americans, students at Columbia University are now tired of keeping mum about the issue and are speaking out. This video does not aim to cover every single ground regarding the topic; instead it seeks to begin dialogue with a generalized approach to the problems as a first step. We want first to show that Asian Americans are like any other American struggling with issues of body image while at the same time facing pressures coming from their own respective cultures. This video certainly focuses on the former point; We hope that the latter will be explored more in the future. We also must reveal the contradiction of how Asian American girls are pressured in this society to look both "western" and "Asian." This includes pressures on how many Asian American girls are supposed to play up this well-known image of looking innocent, weak, and petite as "attractive", but at the same time mainstream media depicts Asian American females as alluring, "exotic," and sexy. We hope that the people in this video will inspire others around the world to undertake similar projects that would focus deeper into these issues regarding body image and perhaps more specifically Asian American body image. Therefore, this is only the beginning. Produced by Aretha Choi & Marilla Li. Directed & edited by Calvin Sun. Got Rice? - by some Chinese Dude in Texas vietnam repressenting... ...Much respect to all my Asian folks.. China, Cambodia, Laos, Korea, Indonesia, Mongolia, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Burma, Hmong, India, Nepal, and even the Phillipines. Got Rice Bitch? FYI == tupace's "Changes" sampled Bruce Hornsby and The Range's "The Way It Is", and actually alot of hip-hop or R&B artist took or sampled someone else's beat. Asian Americans are Americans of Asian ancestry. They include sub-ethnic groups such as Chinese Americans, Filipino Americans, Pakistani Americans, Indian Americans, Vietnamese Americans, Korean Americans, Japanese Americans and others whose national origin is from the Asian continent. In Oxford dictionary, "Asian person" in the United States is sometimes thought of as a person of East Asian descent. In the US Census people who originate from the original peoples of the Far East, Southeast Asia and the Indian Subcontinent are classified as part of the Asian race. For Confused Filipinos: In the 2000--2010 U.S. Census the term "'Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander' refers to people having origins in any of the original peoples of Hawaii, Guam, Samoa or other Pacific Islands. ... They are of Polynesian, Micronesian and Melanesian cultural backgrounds." The US Census counts Indigenous Australians and Maori, the natives of New Zealand, as part of the Pacific Islander race. The U.S. Census Bureau counts Filipino Americans, Japanese Americans, Indonesian Americans, and Taiwanese Americans as Asian Americans even though they have ethnic origins from islands bordering the Pacific Ocean and the former two are Austronesians also. Some genetic studies, based upon very small samples of the population, have begun to provide clues to the origins of Filipino people. Much remains to be learned by larger studies of valid statistical significance about the ancestry of the various Austronesian Philippine ethnic groups. A Stanford University study conducted during 2001 revealed that Y-chromosome Haplogroup O3-M122 (labeled as "Haplogroup L" in this study) predominates among Filipino males. This particular haplogroup is also predominant among Chinese and Korean males. That finding is consistent with the theory that people migrated from China south into the Philippines. Another haplogroup, Haplogroup O1a-M119 (labeled as "Haplogroup H" in this study), is also found among Filipinos. The rates of Haplogroup O1a are highest among the Taiwanese Aborigines. Overall, the genetic frequencies found among Filipinos point to the Ami tribe of Taiwan as their nearest genetic relative.[9] A 2002 China Medical University study indicated that certain Filipinos shared a particular gene marker that is also found among Taiwanese aborigines and Indonesians, and concluded that Taiwan aborigines are of Austronesian derivation.[10] A 2003 University of the Philippines study based on 50 participants each from the islands of Luzon and Cebu provided some insight into the various places of origin of early Filipinos. Some rare genetic markers were found which are shared by people from the different parts of Central and East Asia, reinforcing their mainland Asian origins. [11] [Mas+detalle]
